10 easy steps

(DO NOT FOLLOW THE BAG’S DIRECTIONS! 1/3 cup uncooked = 1 cup cooked rice. )

  1. Pick any pot with a lid that allows the rice to cover the bottom of the pot (~1 inch depth).

  2. Using a strainer, rinse rice in cold water until water is no longer cloudy.

  3. Put rice in pot, then use the “rice-ruler” to tamp down the rice so it is spread evenly and level.

  4. Sit the “rice-ruler” on top of the rice, in the center of the pot.

  5. Pour water onto the “rice ruler.” Fill the pot until water covers the top of the square that the chosen rice grains ➡️ points to.

  6. Remove the “rice-ruler” from the pot.

  7. On high heat, bring water to a boil (full circle ⭕️), then turn burner to the lowest setting and cover the pot.

  8. Set a timer and let the pot cook for the time indicated above the ➡️

  9. Once time has elapsed, turn off burner and let the rice sit covered for 10 minutes.

  10. Fluff and serve!
